Sports wood floor panel materials

The panel of sports wooden floor is in direct contact with athletes

and its performance directly affects the sports experience and safety. Different materials have their own characteristics.
Maple wood has become the most widely used panel material due to its excellent comprehensive performance. Grade A maple wood has straight texture and elegant color. It has an excellent balance of hardness and toughness. It can not only withstand high-intensity friction and impact, but also provide stable support when athletes stop suddenly or change direction. In addition, the long fiber structure of maple wood makes it difficult to get thorns in long-term use, ensuring the safety of athletes.
Oak is known for its high wear resistance. It is harder than maple wood and has strong scratch resistance. It is suitable for sports venues with high frequency of use and large personnel flow. The unique mountain-shaped texture of oak gives the floor a unique visual effect, but because of its high density and slightly inferior elasticity, it is relatively less used in basketball events with extremely high requirements for resilience.
Beech wood is also a common panel material. It is relatively affordable and has good hardness and strength. It is suitable for sports such as badminton and table tennis that have relatively small impact on the floor. However, it is difficult to control the moisture content of oak wood. If it is not handled properly, it is prone to deformation and cracking.
In addition to natural wood, composite panel materials have also emerged in recent years. Laminated composite panels are designed with a multi-layer structure, and the surface wear-resistant layer can effectively resist scratches and wear, and the price is relatively economical; solid wood composite panels combine the texture of solid wood with the stability of composite structure, achieving a balance between environmental protection and durability, providing users with more diverse choices.
